Open-minded
Mr John's students were very courageous today as they performed a role play for the Grade 4 assembly to teach us all about being open minded. Well done to all of those risk takers and to all the open minded students who received certificates this week for showing how open they are to different people and to new ideas.

Today, Mr Mandala's class taught us about how to use our thinking skills to analyse text. Hamza read a story aloud and all the other children shared their understanding with us. well done to all of our amazing thinkers in Grade 4!

This morning Mr Mandala's class taught us all about using our research skills to collect data. Well done everyone and congratulations to all of our certificate recipients this week.
Independence
Today Ms Erica's class showed us how to be independent during our 'Read to self' time in the Daily 5. We have some amazing students who are fantastic at working alone and can figure things out for themselves without immediately asking the teacher. Well done to our all of our independent Grade 4's!
Courageous
This morning Ms Lorissa's class shared a story that they had read with us. They wrote about each character's different perspective on events and recognized that one of the characters showed that she was courageous through the things that she did. Well done to all of our courageous students this week, you are an inspiration to us all!
Knowledgeable
This morning Ms Amy's class showed us how knowledgeable they were in lots of different areas. Some students talked about football, the human body, plants, one boy even talked about mountains! Well done to Ms Amy's clever clogs and to all of our Grade 4 knowledgeable students-way to go everyone!
Commitment
Today Mr John showed us a video about a very committed lady who cared for and studied chimpanzees. Parents ask your child about it-it was very interesting and informative and inspired our students to be committed to whatever tasks they take on.

Caring
This morning Mr Mandala's children showed us what it means to be caring. It was good to be reminded about how we can be caring on the playground and in class. Congratulations to all of our certificate recipients this week who have been caring towards their classmates, teachers and the environment. Well done everybody!
Action
This week Ms Lorissa's class shared some of the action that they have taken during their current Sharing the Planet unit. Well done everybody, thank you for extending and sharing your learning at home and for trying to make the world a better place through your ideas and action.
Open-Minded
Congratulations to all our Open-Minded Grade 4 students who received certificates at today's assembly. Thank you to Mr Fergus's class for acting out short plays to show us how we can be more open-minded at school. Well done everyone!
Thinker
Today Ms Erica's class demonstrated to us how to be a thinker in school. Our actors were very confident and used big loud voices to inform their audience. Congratulations to all of our marvelous thinkers in Grade 4. You have shown us how you use your initiative to find solutions to problems and how to use critical thinking skills to analyse situations. Well done everyone!
Curiosity
Congratulations and well done to all of our amazingly curious students who are always asking questions about the world around them. We need to extend a big thank you to Mr John's class who shared their ideas with us of what it means to be curious. Great job Grade 4!

Communicator
This morning we were treated to Ms Tracy's clever students' explanation of what being a good communicator is. Two groups made beautiful eye catching posters which they used to teach the other students about communicating. Boys and girls who had been outstanding communicators this week were awarded with a Learner Profile certificate. Well done to all!
This morning's assembly was also a sad occasion as we said goodbye to our beloved teaching assistant Ms Mary Chris. Ms Mary Chris has worked at ENS ADC for many years and has become an important member of our school family. We will miss her dearly but wish her every success and happiness in her new position.

Principled
Well done to all of Mr Fergus' students who kick started the new academic year by showing us all how to be principled through making colorfully illustrated posters and by acting out a role play.
